Welcome to the 46th Annual Life Time Turkey Trot Chicago, a signature event produced locally by Life Time.

Thank you for sharing your Thanksgiving with us and being part of the Turkey Day Tailgate. A cornerstone of the Turkey Trot Chicago, the Turkey Day Tailgate is a festive holiday inspired area offering friends and family some lighthearted pre and post-race fun.

As a partner of the Turkey Trot Chicago, you play an important role in bringing the Turkey Day Tailgate to life. In addition to various vendors, the Turkey Day Tailgate includes activities such as Football Toss, Cornhole, Warm Cider, Kids Fun Zone as well as race amenities live music, gear check and race registration & results.

  • Access to the Turkey Day Tailgate is only allowed at Cannon & Inner Lake Shore.
  • Vehicles must display a Parking Pass.
  • All vehicles must remain off of grass areas and removed from the “tailgate” area by 6:45 a.m.

*Race day streets leading to the tailgate area will close and access will not be granted after 6:30 a.m.

Turkey Day Tailgate | Finish Festival

  • All Exhibitors, Vendors and Teams must be “Race Ready” by 7:00 a.m.
  • Access is only available via Cannon Drive from Diversey. Cannon at Fullerton will be closed to traffic – north to Diversey Harbor Entrance. Access will not be granted past 6:30 a.m.
  • The Turkey Day Tailgate is in an asphalt lot. All tents/exhibits must be weighted. Those utilizing their own tents must provide their own weights. Tents/exhibits, which are not properly weighted, may be removed. Please note: November in Chicago tends to be windy along the Lakefront.
  • Vehicles are NOT permitted as part of a booth unless pre‐approved by race management.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for transportation of equipment, materials, parking, and for all incidentals not included in the booth package (such as power). Limited on‐site assistance is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Additional tables, chairs, ice, and tents can be ordered below.

GUIDELINES

  • Materials must fit within the booth size and may not obstruct walkways, general view, and other exhibitors. This will be strictly enforced.
  • Subletting of space is strictly prohibited. Exhibitors may not use space for any other reason without prior written approval by Life Time.
  • Exhibitors must remain open at all times during listed hours of the Turkey Day Tailgate.
  • Exhibitors agree to comply with local, city, and state laws, ordinances, and regulations. Exhibitors are responsible for all fire precautions.
  • Products with the event logo, name, etc. may not be sold, displayed or distributed without prior written approval. Race Management reserves the right to restrict and remove any product it deems objectionable (includes products, persons, objects, conduct etc.) for health, safety or other reasons. This may include products or logos in conflict with Official Race Sponsors.
  • The Turkey Day Tailgate is an exclusive space. Items or services, which conflict with event sponsorship, may be removed. We ask that any conflicting products or services are not brought to the venue.

SECURITY
Security is provided on site Wednesday, November 27 throughout set-up, overnight and on race day.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
If you plan on sampling food or beverage within your booth, please provide all details to Karissa.

Shipping

SPONSOR BOOTH MATERIALS
Sponsors and vendors that are shipping any materials in advance must note this on the reservations sheet and provide a list of shipments and tracking numbers to Karissa Plath at KPlath@lt.life. All boxes must be clearly labeled with company name.

Shipments must arrive no later than Monday, November 18th. Driver must call at least one hour in advance to deliver.
*Must schedule shipments in advance and provide tracking to Karissa Plath. Dock hours are 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.

Please send a complete list of items you will be shipping (Ex. (1) pallet, (3) boxes) to Karissa Plath at KPlath@lt.life before you ship your items.

Parking

Each Sponsor/Vendor is allotted a parking pass to the Sponsor, Vendor and Volunteer lot (see map). You must display your parking pass to gain access to this lot. Vehicles without the official pass may be towed at the owners’ expense. To access the lot, you must enter Cannon Drive from Diversey. Drive south on Cannon and follow the signs for Sponsor Vendor Parking.

Karissa will provide the parking pass closer to the event..

Please note: Cannon Drive and Inner Lake Shore Drive will close at 6:30 a.m. with NO ACCESS.

Cannon Drive at Fullerton will be closed at 3 a.m. and will not reopen until the Race Director permits following the race. Exit of the lot must be made from Cannon Drive near Fullerton. The lot exit will be opened once the Race Director allows.

Keep in mind, the race course utilizes Cannon Drive, Fullerton Drive to Lake Shore. Lake Shore Drive Northbound to Montrose – all Northbound exits and entrances will close at 8:30 a.m. between Fullerton and Montrose.

Move Out

Move out will begin at 12:00 p.m. All Exhibitors must remain open and active until 12:00 p.m.

  • Access to the Turkey Day Tailgate is only allowed at Cannon and Inner Lake Shore Drive.
  • Vehicle access will be restricted based on the number of vehicles entering and exiting the Turkey Day Tailgate. Vehicles may not block or impede another Exhibitor or Official Race Vehicle. Any abandoned vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Each Exhibitor is expected to be able to move out with limited assistance from the race.
  • All discarded materials must be picked up, bagged and placed along/within provided trash/recycling receptacles.
